London Police is going to use iPads!

For more than 100 years, UK police have been using pen and paper to take crime reports from members of the public.

The iPads were introduced in two south-west London boroughs and contain a special app for the police.

iPadHere are some advantages:

  • less paperwork
  • efficient working
  • faster gathering of data
  • Easier photos/recording of crime scenes

Should the entire London police be equipped with iPads, the cost will be about £200 million.
