BMW, Audi and Daimler absorb Nokia´s Here maps!
Nokia sold its Here unit to a consortium of German car-makers including BMW, Audi, and Daimler. The final price was €2.8 billion
None of the partners will seek to acquire a majority interest.
The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2016, because the cartel authority has to approve it.

For the automotive industry this is the basis for new assistance systems and ultimately fully autonomous driving. There are extremely precise digital maps, that act in real-time and increase road safety for everybody.
