Almost no one is using Android 5.0!

Recently Google published the latest Android version, Android 5.0 Lollipop.
According to the latest Google statistic, only 3,3 % of Android phones now run Lollipop.

In contrast, 64.6% of iOS devices use iOS 8, the latest mobile operating system from Apple, that was releases just 2 months prior to Lollipop.

One reason could be the marketing/ distribution: Whereas Apple builds both its hardware and its software, ensuring that new versions of iOS are swiftly installed, Google isn’t responsible for distribution.
Smartphone producer have to roll it out for their customers.

Therefore the further development of Android 5.0 remains to be seen!
